PANNEKAKER. Norske pannekaker are very different from American pancakes.  In fact, they resemble French crêpes more than American pancakes. While American pancakes are fluffy and thick, norske pannekaker are very thin and delicate. Norwegians usually put berries, jam or whipped cream on their pancakes, roll them up, and eat them with a knife and fork.  It is also important to note is that they are eaten for dinner, not breakfast.  They are often served with soup.
