Question 1 of 1
1. Question
LEFSE. In North America, it is most common to make thin, potato lefse. However, there are many variations in Norway. Some are thin and soft, while others are thick or crisp. But almost all types are usually enjoyed with a cup of coffee.
Below are two videos about making lefse. The first shows how lefse is made at the lefse factory in Rushford, Minnesota.
The second provides a demonstration of how lefse is made in Jølster in western Norway. Be sure to click on “CC” in the bottom right corner of the video to turn on the Norwegian sub-titles. It will help you understand the Jølster dialect.
