    BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS. Birthday celebrations, especially for round birthdays (30, 50, 75…) often include a sit-down dinner with friends and family with many cakes for dessert. These birthday celebrations are usually more dressy than similar occasions in the United States. Often, close friends and family will give a toast or write a song to a popular melody about the person who is celebrating.
